Padangekspres.net- PT Angkasa Pura II welcomed the suggestion from the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Dahlan Iskan, about adding another director in the company’s board of directors. The new director would be the director of construction, who will focus on the construction and development of Angkasa Pura II’s airport.
President Director of Angkasa Pura II, Tri S Sunoko, said the company is currently under massive development through which nine airports will be turned into international airports.
“We are fully in support of Mr. Dahlan’s policy to focus on the development,” he told VIVAnews, on Friday.
Angkasa Pura II has made the airports’ development as a part of its internationalization program. Nine out of twelve airports operated by Angkasa Pura would be the pilot-project of world-class airport.
Currently, the company is developing nine airports by increasing the capacity which no longer corresponds with the number of passenger traffic.
At the moment, the construction work is still combined with the operational and technical director. With the separation of authority between operational and technical, it is expected that Angkasa Pura II would be able to focus on developing the airport.
Earlier, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Dahlan Iskan, called on Angkasa Pura II to appoint another director in its board following the many airport projects.
