Jakarta to See Strong Winds in Coming Days

Padangekspres.net-Heavy downpours with strong winds will still hit Jakarta for another three days. The people of Jakarta are warned to remain cautious. Road users are suggested to keep an eye on possible pools of water and falling trees.
Head of Public Information of Meteorology, Climatology & Geophysics Agency, Harry Tirto Djatmiko, said the rain, strong wind, and lightning will be around due to the forming of clouds along the Indian Ocean west off Sumatra, Java, Bali, all the way toward Arafuru Sea.  “It’s because of a seed of storm in Carpentaria Bay,” said Harry.

Jakarta's surrounding areas such as Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi will also witness the unexpected phenomenon. “The chance of rain with thunder or lightning and strong wind of short duration will happen in the entire Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi area,” he said.
The temperature in Jakarta is ranging between 24-32°C with humidity between 58-89%.
Heavy rain and strong wind yesterday afternoon knocked down dozens of big trees.
In South Jakarta, at least eight vehicles in front of the Sasana Dharma Pradata Building on Civil Deputy Attorney and State Administration (Jamdatun) in the AGO complex were badly damaged because of a fallen 9-meter long mahogany tree.
