Lenovo Mobile launches Android smartphone

Padangekspres.net-PT Global Selular Networks (GSN), the authorized distributors of mobile phones made by China-based Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology on Thursday released its latest Android smartphone product, the Lenovo A60, onto the Indonesian market.
GSN sales and marketing director Charles Sigarlaki said the smartphone runs on the Android version 2.3 “Gingerbread” operating system.
“We hope Android smartphone users choose this new mobile phone ,” Charles says in a media statement received by The Jakarta Post on Thursday.

Lenovo Mobile boasts that its new product can take users into the virtual world faster with 3.5G HSDPA and download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
During the Lenovo A60 official launch in Central Jakarta on Thursaday, GSN technical support manager Wahyu Eko Suroso said the A60 was a medium-end smartphone with a 3.5-inch multi touch screen.
He added that it could support dual SIM cards for WCDMA and GSM, allowing users the freedom of not having to carry around two separate phones.
With screen dimensions measuring 116.5x59.9x13.2 milimeters, the A60 is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera with a resolution of 320x480 pixels, WiFi, built-in GPS, G-sensor, USB 2.0 port and Bluetooth.
Powered by a 650 MHz processor, the handphone has 2 Gigabytes of RAM
The mobile phone will be available in Erafone shops and Indomaret convenience stores across the country starting from Saturday, and will be priced at Rp 1.55 million (US$171.07), and comes in four colours — black, white, blue and purple.(drs)
