PPC Train Dozens of Teachers in Padang be Writer

Padangekspres.net-Padang Press Club (PPC) is to train dozens of teachers and amateur journalists in the Padang City, West Sumatera through seminars Being a Writer Teacher in a hotel in Padang, on Thursday.

Presidium of Padang Press Club, Khairul Jasmi said, writing is very necessary training for educators, especially school teachers to develop self-potential so that it can be a writer.

"Apart from the agenda PPC activity is done also to explore the potential of the teacher as an educator, to be able to become a writer," he said in Padang, on Thursday.


According to him, the teacher not only acts as an educator in schools, but also need to produce an essay.

He said there are three issues in education, especially in the Padang City which the teacher was considered a failure to teach students to be able to write.

Furthermore, teachers have not been able to teach their students to be able to make a speech in public and teachers have not been able to bring children with books.

To address these three issues, then the teacher is required to become a writer, communicative, and literacy course with the latest information.

"To be able to write, the teacher must learn to think structured, and then start pouring ideas in written form," he said.

Meanwhile, to foster the spirit of writing, teachers need to form a community to write and publish these in the form of bulletins that will be read at least to motivate their own self.

Head of Education Office of Padang, Dian Wijaya said the number of teachers who actively writing in Padang is still very minimal.

"Teachers with type 4B are up to 15 people from nine thousand teachers in Padang. The teacher is still constrained to raise the value of the rank, as it still produces less scientific writing," he said.

According to him, teachers are able to produce the paper has been able as a professional teacher. Credit points for teachers who produce the paper is quite high.

Meanwhile, to maintain professionalism, one of the efforts that teachers can do that is through access to the latest information. It can also be through community writing, whether published or not.

"What is important is the effort to always write," he said.

He said, improving the quality of education, particularly the quality of teachers in the City field simply cannot be done instantly.

"Disdik is working in that direction, starting from the improvement of quality in the classroom," he said.
