Padangekspres.net-W Sumatera, September 25 (ANTARA) - South Solok, West Sumatera, will optimize the collection of foreign workers who work at companies in the area.
Head of Section (Kasi) Monitoring and Investigation Employment Relations Social Service Manpower and Transmigration (Disosnakertrans) South Solok, Nurasidin Pangabean, in Padang Aro, on Tuesday, said the data collection because many foreign workers who work in that area but not yet reported to the local government.
And for this year, he added, are expected everything is recorded and immediately reported themselves.
"Now, foreign workers who had reported as many as 57 people from nine companies. Meanwhile, based on the information society are still many who do not report to the district government," he said.
The number of private companies in the area was registered, he said, amounted to 70 companies comprising large enterprises, small and medium, but not all use foreign labor.
He said the nine companies that have reported foreign labor, namely PT Kencana Sawit Indonesia (PT KSI), Apexindo and PT Bina Pratama Sakato Jaya each one.
Then PT Wira Patriot Sakti is two workers, PT Persada Indo Tambang (PT PIT) is 11 workers, PT Geominex South Solok is 28 workers, PT Kharisma Jaya Bersama International is six workers, PT Bina Bakti Pertiwi is five workers and PT Supreme Energy is three workers.
He said the purpose of the collection of foreign workers because they are taxed by the government.
"One foreign worker taxed 100 dollars per month directly sent by the company to the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration once a year through BNI Bank accounts 46," he said.
He added that this year will be examined by an integrated team to companies that have not registered foreign labor.
"This year we are more focused on data collection and the development of companies that use foreign labor service. Till 2013 if they do not report will be sanctioned in accordance with the legislation in force," he explained.
He said the sanctions would be able to be criminal according Law No. 7 of 1981 on Compulsory Labor Report on Companies and Law No. 13 of 2003 on Labour and civil penalties.
He added, for foreign workers also obtained guarantees safety of Social Security but only one company to implement it.
"In the future we will pursue all foreign and local employees who work for enterprises have health insurance and safety," he said. (* / cpw / jno)
