Parents demand thorough investigation into Alawy’s murder

Padangekspres.net-The parents of Alawy Yusdianto Putra, a first-year student at SMA 6 state senior high school who was killed during a brawl between students of his school and neighboring SMA 6 on Monday, have demanded that the police take the case seriously.
“We demand that the school, the police and other relevant parties pay serious attention to this matter. This is important so we will never have to hear of another brawl claiming a student’s life,” Alaway’s father Tauri Yusdianto, 49, said after his son’s burial on Tuesday.

Alawy was laid to rest at Kampung Poncol Public Cemetery, not far from his home in Pedurenan subdistrict, Karang Tengah, Tangerang. The 16-year-old was the second son of Tauri and Endang Puji Astuti.
Hundreds of Alawy’s schoolmates, relatives and neighbors attended his funeral.
Alawy’s school has a long history of brawling with SMA 70. The latest incident occurred after school hours, when a group of SMA 6 students were allegedly attacked by SMA 70 students. Alawy was stabbed in the chest. He was rushed to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring hospital but died en route. The brawl also injured two other students. (lfr)
