Physical Work on Sicincin- Malalak Road Finish on Late 2013

Padangekspres.net-The execution of the physical Sicincin -Malalak road estimated completed late 2013 and the Sicincin -Malalak -Balingka road in length41.3 Km, ehish is connecting Agam District with the Padangpariaman District. 

" Sicincin -Malalak Road can be pass by vehicles 100 percent in late 2013," Head of Road Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Settlement (Prasjal and Tarkim) West Sumatra Suprapto said in Padang, on Thursday.


He said there are still 11 points along the narrowing in Sincincin -Malalak road, due to unresolved land acquisition. 

"This has been one of the obstacles, the road is still pending completion of physical construction of roads," he said. 

In addition, the Office of Road Infrastructure is doing repair seven bridges along Sicincin-Malalak Road, there are Koto Mambang, Padangpariaman District, Paman River, and Janiah River, Agam District. 

To repair seven bridges, along the Sicincin-Malalak road used budget Rp13, 5 billion. Repairing seven bridges is expected to be completed by the end of this year, Suprapto said. 

He also said, for people who live in this area are asked to raise awareness as they travel over the road. Erratic weather conditions with high rainfall, it is feared may prove fatal, invites accidents when riders still desperate to pass in Sicincin-Malalak. 

"We''ve put a board warning the public not to take advantage of this pathway in the rain. It is better to choose another path safer." 

To anticipate a landslide, Disprasjal and Tarkim West Sumatera are preparing equipment and personnel. "At present, heavy equipment was ready at the site. To prepare a disaster area our permanent equipment and personnel," Suprapto said. (* / sun)
