Padangekspres.net-Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will submit the forensic audit on Bank
Century to the House of Representatives (DPR) today. Deputy House
Speaker, Pramono Anung said that the forensic audit will be different
from the previous scrutiny.
“The forensic audit has only one purpose, that is to obtain more details of the possibility of fraud,” he said.
However,
member of the Bank Century monitoring team, Ahmad Yani, said the
expectation on BPK’s auditing is not much. He feared the forensic audit
results will not provide more findings as expected.
“I have
received information from our anonymous sources in BPK that there won’t
be any new findings on the case. In fact, it’s going to be worse than
the previous auditing,” Yani told VIVAnews on Friday, Dec 23.
“This
is only playing around. It’s not important to know where the fund was
channeled,” Yani said. According to him, the essence of the problem is
that Century’s bail-out has violated the law.
“The bottom line is that there was corruption,” Yani said.• VIVAnews
