Underwater chess competition at Sail Wakatobi-Belitong 2011

Padangnews.com-At least 64 divers are expected to play underwater chess on Wednesday at Tanjung Kelayang waters in Belitong, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, as part of the Sail Wakatobi-Belitong 2011 event.
The game will be recorded at the Indonesian Record Museum.

“The underwater game will involve divers from navy, police and civil organizations,” said Bangka Belitong spokesman KA Tajuddin on Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.
The event will also feature a boat parade from fishermen, traditional performances and an exhibition of food.
Belitong will also be the last stopover for a yacht race that has taken place during the competition, spanning 35 days.
Out of 109 contestants, only 55 yachts had reached Tanjung Kelayang as of Tuesday.[tjp]
